TGIF Product Spotlight Challenge

Time for another card challenge and today it's the TGIF #230 product spotlight. Participants are challenged to create a project using either the Mosaic Mood or Perennial Essence designer series paper. I recently received my order of Perennial Essence dsp and it is gorgeous so it was an easy decision to make . The paper is so beautiful that at first I did not want to cut it up! You could adhere a piece onto a card front with a sentiment and be done, or frame a piece to decorate your home. I used 3 different pieces of the paper to create this card. I used the co-ordinating stamp set Floral Essence, stamping the floral images on the designer series paper and fussy cutting them out. The largest flower image is adhered with stampin' dimensionals. I always add dimension to my card, I just don't like all the elements laying flat, but that is personal preference. The flowers are stamped in blackberry bliss ink and the card base is petal pink. Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop Challenge

It is now Spring here in Australia , the last few day we have had glorious weather. It is very welcome after a cold and very windy winter. Today's share is this thank you card that I have entered into Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge. The theme of the challenge is Encouragement. I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and co-ordinating dies and designer series paper. For the label  I used a die from the Smooth Sailing dies, which co-ordinates with the Sailing Home stamp set. The challenge winners are decided on by voting.  If you love my card please vote by clicking on the banner below. The top 10 winners will then participate in an International blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci at the end of the month. There are many talented card makers from all over the world participating.   I was inspired to colour the magnolia flowers yellow after I saw some beautiful cards created by fellow Australian Stampin' Up! Inspire.Create.Challenge #50

The weather here on the South Coast NSW is so bleak...freezing, windy and rainy......perfect for card making. It's the 50th challenge on the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog and I have decided to play along. I love card challenges as they provide inspiration and ideas for card designs, something that I always get stuck on! This is the card sketch challenge: As soon as I saw this I knew I wanted to showcase the Sailing Home stamp set and co-ordinating dies. Both my husband and son have a career in the Royal Australian Navy, taking them to different destinations here and abroad, so I love anything nautical themed.  When I use the stamp set my go to colours are night of navy and early espresso, I just think that they compliment the stamp set beautifully, and night of navy features on the co-ordinating designer series paper. If I am creating a simple design I have trouble keeping it simple and always add texture, dimension or embellishments. (I just can't help it!)
