Fairy Celebration Watercolour Card

As I am a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator, it is taking me a while to build up my supplies. I love the versatility of being able to match different stamp sets with designer series papers from different suites. Creating of stack of projects with a small amount of product.

I created this card using the Fairy Celebration stamp set with the Festive Farmhouse designer series paper and matching cardstock which is in the holiday catalogue.

The fairy image was stamped on water colour paper with black Stazon ink and water coloured with the aqua painter. The image was a little tricky to colour as it has fine lines but the thin brush on the aqua painter did the trick. I don't have any brown ink as yet to colour the tree branch so I mixed some calypso coral and balmy blue inks together. The inks I have used to colour the image are: so saffron, mossy meadow, petal pink, blushing bride and cherry cobbler.

The card measurements are:
  • card base -  an A4 sheet of card stock cut in half, then folded in half
  • dsp layer - 4" x 5 3/4"
  • water colour card stock layer - 3" x 3 1/4"
  • mossy meadow card stock layer - 3 1/4" x 3 1/2"
  • sentiment layer - 2" x 1/2"

You can find all of the supplies listed here in our current annual and holiday catalogue links on the right hand side of this page.

I hope that you find time for some crafting today.  Suzanne xx

Easy Slider Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog. How are you? How have you been coping during these difficult times? My life sure is a roller coaster ride, home schooling two young children, one of whom has special needs. Each day is bringing new challenges as we all figure out our new daily routines and how to navigate our feelings and fears. It is such a great mindfulness activity and I look forward to my crafting time each afternoon. Today I am sharing how I created this easy slider card using the Bonanza Buddies Bundle. The stamped images and co-ordinating designer series papers are the cutest! Great for kids birthdays or for anyone really. They sure do brighten up your day. I found the inspiration for this card in the current mini catalogue. I love how the catalogues are a great source of inspiration and ideas and I always keep a pile of old editions on my desk to ...

Snow globe shaker card featuring new holiday products!

Not long to go until the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue 2019-2020 is released. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is I am able to pre-order new product before they are available to order. I couldn't wait to make this shaker card featuring the new Still Scenes bundle and coordinating products. At first I was trying to imagine how to line everything up so that the snow globe shaker dome fit in the die cut aperture, but once I began to work on the project it was a fairly easy process. Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop Challenge

It is now Spring here in Australia , the last few day we have had glorious weather. It is very welcome after a cold and very windy winter. Today's share is this thank you card that I have entered into Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge. The theme of the challenge is Encouragement. I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and co-ordinating dies and designer series paper. For the label  I used a die from the Smooth Sailing dies, which co-ordinates with the Sailing Home stamp set. The challenge winners are decided on by voting.  If you love my card please vote by clicking on the banner below. The top 10 winners will then participate in an International blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci at the end of the month. There are many talented card makers from all over the world participating.   I was inspired to colour the magnolia flowers yellow after I saw some beautiful cards created by fellow Australian Stampin' Up! Demons...
