I've recently joined a Facebook group called CASEing the Catty Sunday challenge. It is a group of crafters who love Stampin' Up! products and who love to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) other's creations. I love how the Stampin' Up! community is so supportive, sharing ideas and inspiration with each other.  The way the group works is......Each Sunday at 7pm a category is posted the group's wall showcasing an example of a project from the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue. Participants then CASE the design, whether it be an exact copy or just using the layout, embellishments, sentiment or colour combo, photograph their creation and upload it to the group wall. The card/project with the most amount of likes will win the group challenge.  This week the challenge was to CASE a birthday card and give it a Christmas twist. Today's share is a simple card and chocolate holder that I have made for my son's teacher's gift. I've used just one stamp from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set, stamped onto the beautiful Petal Promenade designer series paper. I wanted to share with you that stamping does not have to be complicated, it really can be simple and still be pretty.  I CASEd the chocolate treat holder from Gail at Blue Rose Paper Treasures. Her tutorial can be found on her YouTube channel here . I have just made the treat holder on it's own deciding not to stick it onto a card. I made a fancy fold card, I cut an A4 piece of cardstock in half on the short side, folded it in half, then folded the top layer in half on itself (I hope that makes sense!) It is time for another Global Design Project Challenge and this week we are CASEing the beautiful card from the talented Louise Sharp. Here is her design: When you CASE (copy and selectively edit) someone's design you take the elements from their design and use them in own creation. In this challenge I used the layout of this card to create a Christmas card using the Candy Cane Season Bundle . With only 5 weeks to go until Christmas I need to make a start on my Christmas cards and send them off in time. I'm so not prepared! I created a background image using the holly and berry stamps, stamped in pear pizzazz and cherry cobbler ink, in a random pattern.  I used the stamping off technique to stamp the all the elements on the card so that the images were not too bold. Hello and thanks for stopping by. I hope you have had a great week. I wanted to share with you today how you can use one stamp set to create different themed cards. Here I have used the Wishing You Well stamp set to create a Christmas Card and a get well card. This is a distinktive stamp set, the latest innovation in stamp making by Stampin' Up! The stamps create a photo realistic image, they are made with a special texture to give a lot of depth and dimension. To make my card bases I simply cut an A4 piece of cardstock in half on the long side, then fold in half so that I get two card bases from one A4 sheet. To work out my dsp layers on my card I cut them a 1/8"shorter than my card base.  On the Christmas card I have used mossy meadow and cherry cobbler card stock and the festive farmhouse designer series paper. Today I submitted an entry to my first ever card challenge over at Global Design Project #162 . A card challenge is a great way to get inspired when you are a little stuck for a card design, and also to share your creation and network with a bunch of like minded creative people from all over the world. I was so excited to receive the gorgeous Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper and matching Cardstock in my order this week. The pack is full of gorgeous shimmery designs and is one of my Stampin' Up! must haves. Accompanying these are the Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies which I have used to create the label, thin frame and embellishments on the card. Another must have of mine is the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (try saying that five times fast!). I used it to create a subtle texture on my happy birthday label.
