Global Design Project 162 - Sketch Challenge

Today I submitted an entry to my first ever card challenge over at Global Design Project #162 .

A card challenge is a great way to get inspired when you are a little stuck for a card design, and also to share your creation and network with a bunch of like minded creative people from all over the world.

I was so excited to receive the gorgeous Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper and matching Cardstock in my order this week. The pack is full of gorgeous shimmery designs and is one of my Stampin' Up! must haves. Accompanying these are the Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies which I have used to create the label, thin frame and embellishments on the card. Another must have of mine is the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (try saying that five times fast!). I used it to create a subtle texture on my happy birthday label. I think it gives an added dimension to the design. The beautiful sentiment is from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.

Adhering the thin frame was made easy with the fine tip glue pen, I don't know about you but I can make quite the mess when it comes to glue. The fine tip on this pen gave me precise, mess free application.

Have you ever participated in a card challenge? If not give it a go, this was so much fun, I can't wait to enter more. Please feel free to link to your creations below if you have, I'd love to see them.

Have a great day. Suzanne xx

Easy Slider Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog. How are you? How have you been coping during these difficult times? My life sure is a roller coaster ride, home schooling two young children, one of whom has special needs. Each day is bringing new challenges as we all figure out our new daily routines and how to navigate our feelings and fears. I am so grateful for my love of craft and Stampin' Up! it definitely is helping me immensely get through each day. It is such a great mindfulness activity and I look forward to my crafting time each afternoon. Today I am sharing how I created this easy slider card using the Bonanza Buddies Bundle. The stamped images and co-ordinating designer series papers are the cutest! Great for kids birthdays or for anyone really. They sure do brighten up your day. I found the inspiration for this card in the current mini catalogue. I love how the catalogues are a great source of inspiration and ideas and I always keep a pile of old editions on my desk to ...

Snow globe shaker card featuring new holiday products!

Not long to go until the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue 2019-2020 is released. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is I am able to pre-order new product before they are available to order. I couldn't wait to make this shaker card featuring the new Still Scenes bundle and coordinating products. At first I was trying to imagine how to line everything up so that the snow globe shaker dome fit in the die cut aperture, but once I began to work on the project it was a fairly easy process. Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop Challenge

It is now Spring here in Australia , the last few day we have had glorious weather. It is very welcome after a cold and very windy winter. Today's share is this thank you card that I have entered into Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge. The theme of the challenge is Encouragement. I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and co-ordinating dies and designer series paper. For the label  I used a die from the Smooth Sailing dies, which co-ordinates with the Sailing Home stamp set. The challenge winners are decided on by voting.  If you love my card please vote by clicking on the banner below. The top 10 winners will then participate in an International blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci at the end of the month. There are many talented card makers from all over the world participating.   I was inspired to colour the magnolia flowers yellow after I saw some beautiful cards created by fellow Australian Stampin' Up! Demons...
