Global Design Project Challenge 164 - CASE the designer

It is time for another Global Design Project Challenge and this week we are CASEing the beautiful card from the talented Louise Sharp. Here is her design:

When you CASE (copy and selectively edit) someone's design you take the elements from their design and use them in own creation. In this challenge I used the layout of this card to create a Christmas card using the Candy Cane Season Bundle. With only 5 weeks to go until Christmas I need to make a start on my Christmas cards and send them off in time. I'm so not prepared!

I created a background image using the holly and berry stamps, stamped in pear pizzazz and cherry cobbler ink, in a random pattern.  I used the stamping off technique to stamp the all the elements on the card so that the images were not too bold.
To add some texture I used the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, this is one of my favourite embossing folders.

Have you started making your Christmas Cards yet? There are so many beautiful Christmas themed products in the holiday and annual catalogues, its hard to choose a favourite. Along with all the stamps, dies, punches, papers and card stock there are some kits available such as the Timeless Tidings Project Kit which co-ordinates with the Timeless Tidings stamp set to make your Christmas Card making quick and easy.

If you would like to participate in the Global Design Challenge click here for all the details.

Happy crafting! Suzanne xx

Easy Slider Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog. How are you? How have you been coping during these difficult times? My life sure is a roller coaster ride, home schooling two young children, one of whom has special needs. Each day is bringing new challenges as we all figure out our new daily routines and how to navigate our feelings and fears. I am so grateful for my love of craft and Stampin' Up! it definitely is helping me immensely get through each day. It is such a great mindfulness activity and I look forward to my crafting time each afternoon. Today I am sharing how I created this easy slider card using the Bonanza Buddies Bundle. The stamped images and co-ordinating designer series papers are the cutest! Great for kids birthdays or for anyone really. They sure do brighten up your day. I found the inspiration for this card in the current mini catalogue. I love how the catalogues are a great source of inspiration and ideas and I always keep a pile of old editions on my desk to ...

Snow globe shaker card featuring new holiday products!

Not long to go until the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue 2019-2020 is released. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is I am able to pre-order new product before they are available to order. I couldn't wait to make this shaker card featuring the new Still Scenes bundle and coordinating products. At first I was trying to imagine how to line everything up so that the snow globe shaker dome fit in the die cut aperture, but once I began to work on the project it was a fairly easy process. Hello and thank you for stopping by. Today I am sharing how I stepped up a simple card design by adding extra elements for a totally different look. You may have heard in the Stampin' Up!/card making world the terms Beginner, Casual and Avid crafter. After a lot of research in to understanding their audience Stampin' Up! came up with these three levels to describe the type of crafters in their worldwide community. I have created three cards using the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set and coordinating dies and designer series paper. All of these items are FREE with purchase from the current Sale a Bration brochure  - when you place an order for $90 or more.
