Magic Colour Slider Card

I love making cards that challenge my creativity and this one sure did but it was fun to put together.

I cased this design from the very clever Jennifer Frost www.jenniferfrost.blogspot.com, by following her simple video tutorial. You can view it here. The magic happens when you pull on the top tab and the cover slides up to reveal a colour version of the fairy.

I used the Fairy Celebration stamp set and the Garden Impressions designer series paper and matching card stock. The stamp set is so sweet, the images can be stamped and left uncoloured or you can colour the stamped images with Stampin' Up! blend markers or water colour them with the aqua painter which is what I've done here.

When using the aqua painter, stamp your image onto water colour paper with black StazOn ink as it is alcohol based and it won't run when the water is applied to it. The water colour paper is especially designed to hold the water and keeps the paper flat.

The Garden Impressions designer series paper reminds me of my favourite season spring. It is still so cold and rainy where I live so these designs are brightening my day. Hopefully the warm weather arrives soon!

If you love creating different styled cards, give Jennifer's tutorial a go and share your creation with me, I would love to see it! If you do share it, please tag Jennifer as the original creator. Thank you.

Easy Slider Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog. How are you? How have you been coping during these difficult times? My life sure is a roller coaster ride, home schooling two young children, one of whom has special needs. Each day is bringing new challenges as we all figure out our new daily routines and how to navigate our feelings and fears. I am so grateful for my love of craft and Stampin' Up! it definitely is helping me immensely get through each day. It is such a great mindfulness activity and I look forward to my crafting time each afternoon. Today I am sharing how I created this easy slider card using the Bonanza Buddies Bundle. The stamped images and co-ordinating designer series papers are the cutest! Great for kids birthdays or for anyone really. They sure do brighten up your day. I found the inspiration for this card in the current mini catalogue. I love how the catalogues are a great source of inspiration and ideas and I always keep a pile of old editions on my desk to ...

Snow globe shaker card featuring new holiday products!

Not long to go until the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue 2019-2020 is released. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is I am able to pre-order new product before they are available to order. I couldn't wait to make this shaker card featuring the new Still Scenes bundle and coordinating products. At first I was trying to imagine how to line everything up so that the snow globe shaker dome fit in the die cut aperture, but once I began to work on the project it was a fairly easy process. Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop Challenge

It is now Spring here in Australia , the last few day we have had glorious weather. It is very welcome after a cold and very windy winter. Today's share is this thank you card that I have entered into Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge. The theme of the challenge is Encouragement. I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and co-ordinating dies and designer series paper. For the label  I used a die from the Smooth Sailing dies, which co-ordinates with the Sailing Home stamp set. The challenge winners are decided on by voting.  If you love my card please vote by clicking on the banner below. The top 10 winners will then participate in an International blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci at the end of the month. There are many talented card makers from all over the world participating.   I was inspired to colour the magnolia flowers yellow after I saw some beautiful cards created by fellow Australian Stampin' Up! Demons...
