Global Design Project Challenge #222

Hello and thanks for stopping by. It has been such a long time between blog posts! I hope that you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. My family and I visited Qld for the break and so glad we did as our home town and surrounds were impacted by devastating bushfires. It is heartbreaking to see so many people and animals lose their homes, and some their lives. Let's hope that the worst has passed, my thoughts are with everyone impacted.

This year I have set myself a challenge to create and share more by entering card challenges regularly. The first one of the year is with the Global Design Project team. I really enjoy these challenges as they inspire me to create and give me ideas and inspiration.

This is a sketch challenge - the idea is to interpret this sketch and make it your own. I used the painted poppies bundle and the peaceful moments bundle plus the coordinating peaceful poppies designer series paper to create this thank you card.

The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder on basic black cardstock. I really love this suite and was very lucky to win the painted poppies stamp set at the Onstage convention last year.

If you would like to join in on the challenge, and view all of the amazing enries pop over to the Global Design Project website for all of the details.

The supplies that I have used are listed below. If you live in Australia and would like to purchase them, click on an image to be taken to my online store. If you make a purchase between $50-$250 enter the January Host Code 62G22RGG at the checkout and receive a free gift from me the following month. Details below.

Easy Slider Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog. How are you? How have you been coping during these difficult times? My life sure is a roller coaster ride, home schooling two young children, one of whom has special needs. Each day is bringing new challenges as we all figure out our new daily routines and how to navigate our feelings and fears. I am so grateful for my love of craft and Stampin' Up! it definitely is helping me immensely get through each day. It is such a great mindfulness activity and I look forward to my crafting time each afternoon. Today I am sharing how I created this easy slider card using the Bonanza Buddies Bundle. The stamped images and co-ordinating designer series papers are the cutest! Great for kids birthdays or for anyone really. They sure do brighten up your day. I found the inspiration for this card in the current mini catalogue. I love how the catalogues are a great source of inspiration and ideas and I always keep a pile of old editions on my desk to ...

Snow globe shaker card featuring new holiday products!

Not long to go until the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue 2019-2020 is released. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is I am able to pre-order new product before they are available to order. I couldn't wait to make this shaker card featuring the new Still Scenes bundle and coordinating products. At first I was trying to imagine how to line everything up so that the snow globe shaker dome fit in the die cut aperture, but once I began to work on the project it was a fairly easy process. Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop Challenge

It is now Spring here in Australia , the last few day we have had glorious weather. It is very welcome after a cold and very windy winter. Today's share is this thank you card that I have entered into Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight challenge. The theme of the challenge is Encouragement. I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and co-ordinating dies and designer series paper. For the label  I used a die from the Smooth Sailing dies, which co-ordinates with the Sailing Home stamp set. The challenge winners are decided on by voting.  If you love my card please vote by clicking on the banner below. The top 10 winners will then participate in an International blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci at the end of the month. There are many talented card makers from all over the world participating.   I was inspired to colour the magnolia flowers yellow after I saw some beautiful cards created by fellow Australian Stampin' Up! Demons...
